Software and Firmware Installation
OkySoft2 and OkySoft-Pro - This is the software that runs on your computer
Note - OkySoft-Pro replaces OkySoft2. OkySoft-Pro is for OkyWeb 2 and 3.
If your OkyWeb appears to become unstable, you may need to update or reload the players operating system (firmware). Like any electronic device, the firmware may corrupt due to unforeseen circumstances. Fortunately, OkyWeb firmware is easy to reinstall and update.
To update OkyWeb 3 or OkYWeb 2 firmware, connect device to computer via the Oky USB lead and open the software program. Go: Tools>Update OkyWeb# Operating System
About the Compact Flash Card

OkyWeb 2 - tested to 126mb
OkyWeb 1 - tested to 64 mb
VERY IMPORTANT: When purchasing CF cards, buy reputable brands and do not buy cheap CF's from weekend markets. Remember - this CF card has to be 100% reliable or it could fail in the middle of a performance.
HAVING PROBLEMS WITH STABILITY? CHECK THE INTEGRITY OF YOUR CF CARD.
New CF card MUST be formatted using FAT 16bit in your computer before being used in Okyweb3. If you have another CF with song already on the card and want to reformat, back up the songs first by transferring CF songs to PC (using OkySoft Pro). Click HERE to download the CF formatting guide.
General Info about CF card structure:
Not all CF's are the same. This is an important factor when purchasing back up and extra CF's for your OkyWeb. CF cards must conform to CFA specifications (see below):
The producers of cheaper CF memories do not comply with all the CFA specifications and these cheaper CF's may not work with OkyWeb machines. These manufacturers bypass the full spec to lower costs.
The CPU of Okyweb is supplied at 5.0V and the Compact Flash MUST work either at 5.0V either or 3.3V (following the Compact Flash Association Technical Specification), and many cheaper CF cards do not work. It's not a size problem or a problem with OkyWeb, but a non-spec CF card.
We can see that major brands like San Disk, Kodak Toshiba, etc, work with all size CF's, but they cost a little more. The cheaper CF cards ( usually from China ) are not guaranteed to work in OkyWeb. This happens because the manufacturers use a "PC based architecture" that works with the 95% of the CF market, which suits their purposes. OkyWeb CPU is not programmed to emulate the "PC-based Architecture" and therefore, CF cards must conform to 5.0V either or 3.3V Compact Flash Association Technical Specification.

About the Power Supplies
OkyWeb players are shipped with an Australian PS (Australian buyers) and Euro PS to all other countries. Price of replacement PS has been factored into the players so overseas buyers do not pay more.
OkyWeb must be set to 9 volts and a minimum 1000mA. Lower mA values (such as 800 mA) may result in unstable operation.
OkyTV must be set to 12 volts and a minimum 12mA. Lower mA values (such as 800 or 1000 mA) may result in unstable operation.
US buyers can replace their Power Supplies as follows:
